Amaroni Bloodstock was formed to provide the thrill and enjoyment of being involved with racehorses in the UK at a cost to suit most budgets and now in our 5th year, we are proud of the record we have achieved thus far. From 57 starts, we have had 4 wins, 2 seconds, 4 thirds and 1 fourth place finishes, with Unsuited winning 3 times in a row by 17, 5 and 2 lengths respectively.
We wanted to make the involvement in the Sport of Kings enjoyable and stress free and so to AVOID the common obstacles and provide a stress-free and affordable way to enjoy the benefits of racehorse ownership, Amaroni Bloodstock has already made the investment in horses that are currently in training and is now offering shares in these horses. Breeding Operation
We are not just about Racing but also Breeding. It is one thing to have a winner, but to have a winner that you have bred is an amazing feeling and one we are striving toward. We have a small band of brood mares and have tried to send them to the best stallions within our budget. Our Trainer

John Long, a former jockey turned trainer, employs traditional methods at his stables in Woldingham, Surrey. In a career spanning over 30 years he has enjoyed great success, primarily on the flat but also over the jumps with National Hunt racing. Amaroni Bloodstock has entrusted the care and training of our horses to John Long because although John may not be considered a top flight trainer, with the best horses, he is a true horseman. He lives and breathes horses. Horses aren't pushed and made to work when they are not ready. They tell John when they are ready and because of the relationship he is able to build with them, they are willing and try for him. His attention to every detail where the welfare of a horse is concerned is second to none and this fact is very important to us. We have had to wait for our first winner, a winner by 17 lengths, followed by two more wins in our next two outings ....we are glad we waited! 2007 proved to be a good year for John and his team with his horses firing on all cylinders and winning 10 races from only 30 starts. A percentage win ratio of 30%
John is ably assisted by his Assistant Trainer Stephanie Cassidy and the rest of his capable team..
Our Training Facilities
The main yard consists of 24 purpose brick built stables. We have access to a mile and a half undulating grass gallop as well as a 7 furlong all weather gallop. In addition we have a fixed jumping gallop for the National Hunt horses. The yard has been inspected by The Jockey Club and licensed as a suitable training establishment. In addition we have acquired a new 4 horse, horse box and a Claydon horse walker.
Our Bloodstock Agent
All our horses have been carefully inspected prior to purchase by our Bloodstock Agents. Algarve Bloodstock operates from its head office in Thaxted, Essex and its subsidiary office at the famous Tattersalls Auctions in Newmarket as well as at Deauville, France and Baden-Baden, Germany.
Algarve Bloodstock's Barry Root works closely with us, advising us on prospective purchases and bidding on our behalf at auctions and sales in the UK and abroad.
Barry has an experienced eye having been in the business of buying horses for over 10 years.
