What We Offer

For 2008, we are offering Shares in 3 horses which are currently at the start of their racing careers. The Shares are in 2% lots. There will be a maximum of 50 Members

This ensures that each Members has a meaningful interest in his or her chosen horse, and is not just a number in a huge syndicate. It also introduces a more personal and sociable atmosphere because the Sport of Kings is not just about the horses – it is also about meeting people from other walks of life and sharing their enjoyment in a common interest.

To promote this social aspect, Members are encouraged to visit the stables to see their horse in training and to attend race meetings not just when their particular horse has a race, but also when other horses from the stable are running.

A very large part of the thrill of horse racing is, obviously, seeing one’s horse thundering past the post to finish in the money, and each Member will be entitled to receive a share of all prize money won by his or her horse in proportion to the  percentage owned.

Amaroni offers two ways of getting involved

Racing Shares

In return for a fixed monthly fee, a Member  is entitled to a percentage of all prize money won by his or her horse, use of all racecourse owner’s facilities whenever his or her horse runs, access to the stables to see his or her horse in training, and most importantly access AT ALL TIMES to a member of the Amaroni Team.

Racing Shares allows one to enjoy all the benefits of racehorse ownership without the daily hassle and worry of upkeep and the possibility of large veterinary bills or other costs turning up unexpectedly. Racing Shares may also be transferred from one horse to another within the Amaroni stable (subject to availability) without penalty or additional fee.

There is NO up-front fee or other capital outlay, the only payment is a fixed, monthly fee.

Three months notice is required to terminate a Racing Shares

Career Shares

All the benefits of  Racing Shares, plus a percentage share of the proceeds when the horse is sold. Because some of our horses are at the beginning of their careers or have been bought from the sales, they are all pretty much unknown quantities. They all have the potential to be race winners and if they fulfil their promise, their values may soar and repay their initial purchase price many times over. However, they may retire to a quiet pasture never having won a race and be worth very little – Career Shares allows one to enjoy the agony or the ecstasy, we just can’t tell yet which one it will be.

In addition to the fixed monthly fee, there is a one-off initial payment . Career Shares last for one year, at the end of which the horse is sold and the proceeds distributed or if the Syndicate is extended for a further year, no further capital outlay is required – the Member only continues to pay the fixed monthly fee for the next year.

If a horse is successful, an opportunity might arise to sell before the year is over – in that case, the Members would receive his or her percentage of the sales proceeds early, and no further monthly payments would be required (any amounts paid in advance would, of course, be refunded).

General Information

Due to the nature of the sport, there is a chance that a horse may be injured, become seriously ill, or even die. In the event that a horse is retired from racing for this or any other reason, the Syndicate in that horse will end immediately.

The monthly fees are fixed and Members will NOT be asked for any further funds. Amaroni Bloodstock will meet all other expenses including blacksmiths, chiropractors, gallop fees, training and stable lad fees, race entry and jockey fees, all veterinary fees, all administrative and other charges made by The British Horseracing Association and The Jockey Club (racing's governing bodies).

Watching Your Horse Run

Each Member shall receive an official Owner's Badge each time their horse runs. These permit access to the Owner's & Trainer's Bar and Restaurant, the Parade Ring to meet the jockey before the race, the Winner's Enclosure if the horse wins or is placed and all other areas that are accessible to owners and trainers, such as the owner's viewing area in the grandstand. A representative of Amaroni attends every race and the allocation of Owner's Badges for Members is arranged in advance of the meeting, so all one has to do is arrive at the racecourse and badges will be waiting. If one wishes to entertain a larger party of friends or family, additional Owner's Badges can also be supplied, subject to availability. Owner’s Badges for selected other race meetings can be supplied, subject again, to availability.

Benefits of Our Syndicates

With our Syndicates, you will not be entering into what could be a lengthy and legally binding partnership, whereby you are jointly and severally liable for all costs charged by the trainer, vet and racing authorities. Our Syndicates free you of this burden, because one would be entering into a private agreement with Amaroni Bloodstock, which is solely responsible for all the costs and expenses of keeping the horse and racing it. Our Syndicates allow you to "walk away" without any financial liabilities whatsoever, after as little as three months in the case of Racing Shares, or at the end of a year for Career Shares. Furthermore, you are not responsible for additional payments if any other members leave or do not make their payments.

Your monthly fee is fixed whatever the circumstances and you will never be asked for any other payments.

We at Amaroni want to make your participation in the Sport of Kings enjoyable. We take pride in our personal approach and encourage our Members to talk with us regularly.

We are available on a daily basis to discuss your horse’s training, condition and plans for the future. We also have a realistic attitude to the sport and admit that although our experience and skill plays an important part in producing a successful racehorse, we also need a lot of luck. We do not claim that we have the next Derby winner but we do have a team which will be able to provide the smaller owner with a great deal of enjoyment and hopefully some prize money to go with it.

The concept is simple: if you love horse racing and want to experience the thrills of ownership without the associated problems at a cost to suit all budgets then contact us even if it's just for an informal chat with no obligation.

Horseracing is by its very nature a risky enterprise and there are no guarantees of success. Our Syndicates are intended primarily to provide entertainment and enjoyment, and should not be considered as financial investments. Although it is possible to make substantial profits from involvement in horseracing, Amaroni Bloodstock, its agents and representatives make no warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, of any financial return. Please consider carefully if your own particular financial circumstances permit you to participate.
